“If your brother sins … go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.” (Matthew 18:15)
(1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
My brother can I have a moment of your time?
I know you’re busy, but there’s been some things running through my mind,
And burning in my heart.
The other day I cried for you my brother.
I see all the evil in your life that is blind to the others.
I just want to talk to you before the tears start
To roll down my face that is so similar to yours.
We seem the same but our comparison is the ceiling and the floor,
Total opposites.
My brother, this increases the pain
For not too long ago our habits were the same.
We both came from a God-fearing family,
And had parents set a great example
and sought for us to model it.
But we refused.
Instead we went out to the sin filled functions
Steadily relying on the assumption
That God would wait on us,
As if we were the only option he could choose.
Such ignorance.
Soon God opened my eyes,
And made me realize
That in the world, things that are Real cool,
Are just real Lies
That serves as a God hindrance.
This is tragic.
Because Galatians 3:26 says we are children of God.
Why we reject our Father is odd.
Do we seek to be like Judas Iscariot?
Recognizing the Lord’s power,
Just to turn around and help the world bury it,
That is the Devil’s tactic.
My dear brother,
I have noticed your sin
I’m not here to judge, but to help it end.
The lies, sex, drugs, and deceit,
Lay them down before the Master’s feet.
God was always there,
Though you served another.
Be encouraged.
I have made it out of despair
I can only pray that you find your way here.
Look for the light continually
And remember that your faith isn’t something you work on annually,
But by daily death.
That is how you make faith flourish.
